The City Focus Business Forum, held at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC), on Monday, October 4, 2010, attracted more than 130 people. Economic Development portfolio councillor and City Focus Chair, Cr Dave Perkins said, working in partnership with local businesses is integral to maximising the economic potential of our region. "Face-to-face forums, such as this one held in the City, coupled with using council's rapidly growing City Focus Business Network is a great way to keep in close contact with local business people and help council gather information on the future direction of growth and development in the area".
