The ICT industry provides services to the mining and agribusiness sectors in addition to the growing commercial and retail sectors in Mackay.  There are opportunities for a more collaborative approach by local companies to provide a range of services to the mining and engineering sectors.

The Mackay IT Network (MITN) is a non-profit network committed to seeing the advancement of the Mackay region's ICT industry.

Their aim is to provide a strong and sustainable regional ICT industry that will create jobs and attract investment into the area. MITN has many members who are keen to see the industry develop a sustainable future.
