The aim of the Sarina Planning Scheme is to facilitate community, rural, and urban development to ensure that natural areas are protected and the growth of the area is enhanced and sustained.

Temporary Local Planning Instrument

The Temporary Local Planning Instrument (TLPI) for the Sarina Shire Planning Scheme relating to the proposed water recycling facility buffer provisions was first effective from 21 February 2011 to 20 February 2012.  On 14 December 2011, Council resolved to make a Temporary Local Planning Instrument which, in effect, allows for the continuation of the current TLPI.

The Temporary Local Planning Instrument 2012 - Water Recycling Facility Buffer took effect on 21 February 2012 and will cease to take effect on 20 February 2013. The Temporary Local Planning Instrument prevails over any inconsistency with the Sarina Shire Planning Scheme 2005.

The following adopted amendments have not been incorporated into the current Sarina Shire Planning Scheme. Please refer to the below document for all relevant changes:
