Meeting Two (14 November 2011)
On Monday, November 14, Mackay Regional Council hosted their second Special Interest Working Group meeting regrading Settlement Patterns, Infrastructure and Transport.
In this follow-up meeting, council presented an update on the Mackay Region 200k Planning Scheme and was then followed by a representative from Department of Local Government and Planning who made a presentation on the draft Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday Regional Plan.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads highlighted many of the Department’s transport planning projects for the region. These presentations included the Mackay Area Integrated Transport Plan, the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday Principal Cycle Network Plan and Connecting Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday 2031.
