Priority Infrastructure Plan Amendments
Proposed Planning Scheme Amendments: Mackay City Planning Scheme Amendment Number 5 of 2010, Mirani Shire Plan Amendment Number 1 of 2011 and Sarina Shire Planning Scheme Amendment Number 1 of 2011.
In accordance with the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (SPA), Chapter 3, and Statutory Guideline 2/09, Mackay Regional Council hereby provides public notice of the following proposed amendments to the Mackay City Planning Scheme, Mirani Shire Plan and Sarina Shire Planning Scheme and invites written submissions on the proposed amendments:
Proposed Amendments Number 5 of 2010 (Mackay City), 1 of 2011 (Sarina) and 1 of 2011 (Mirani):
Proposed Mackay City Planning Scheme Amendments 5 of 2010, Mirani Shire Plan Amendments 1 of 2011 and Sarina Shire Planning Scheme Amendments 1 of 2011 all seek to achieve:
- the inclusion of the Priority Infrastructure Plans (PIPs), and
- undertake minor consequential amendments
The inclusion of the PIPs into the three planning schemes integrates and coordinates land use planning and infrastructure planning to ensure that necessary trunk infrastructure related to growth is planned and delivered in an efficient and orderly manner. The minor consequential amendments are administrative amendments to include necessary references to the PIPs within the three planning schemes.
