Grants and sponsorship
Mackay Regional Council is proud to support the community with a variety of grant and funding opportunities. Grant monies were provided to sporting, arts, service, and environmental groups and individuals.
The following grant and sponsorship opportunities are available:
Community grants |
Encourages the development of innovative programs in the areas of welfare, education and support. Offered twice yearly. Community Grant Guidelines (PDF 55 kb) Application Form (PDF 205 kb). |
Community sponsorship |
The sponsorship program is consistent with the Community Services goal as stated in the Council’s Corporate Plan 2006-2010 which is to work in partnership with the community to assist in providing facilities and services. Sporting grants |
This program provides financial assistance toward the cost of team levies, registration, uniforms, travel and other costs associated with junior sports persons participating in National and International competitions outside the boundaries of Belyando, Bowen, Broadsound, Mirani, Nebo, Sarina, Whitsunday Shire Councils and Mackay Regional Council.

In-kind assistance |
Another form of assistance Council offers is in the form of in-kind. Any community group seeking this form of assistance will need to complete an In-kind Assistance Application Form (PDF 93.8 kb). |
Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) |
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program is an initiative of the State Government (Arts Queensland) in partnership with local authorities in regional Queensland. Mackay Regional Council has four funding rounds per year. Find out more information about RADF grants. |
Community Arts and Culture Grant |
Encourages the development of local groups and to broaden the opportunities for residents in the Mackay area to participate in the arts. It is for individuals/groups invited to participate in exhibitions/events of state or national significance. Community Arts and Culture Application Form (PDF 147 kb). |
