Aquatic facilities
Mackay Regional Council operates aquatic facilities in Mackay, Sarina and Mirani. The aquatic facilities operate in a complimentary fashion, so that any day of the year, access to at least one facility is provided.
All facilities include fully trained and professional staff to provide for your aquatic needs.

PLEASE NOTE:
Please be informed of the following closing periods for the five (5) regional aquatic facilities. These periods are in line with previous years, with dates currently set as follows (subject to weather conditions):
Sarina Pool
Tuesday, April 10 until the end August.
Memorial Swim Centre
Tuesday, April 10 until Thursday, May 31 (re-open Friday, June 1) - Pioneer Swim Centre to remain open during this period
Mirani Pool
Monday, April 16 until the end of August.
Pioneer Swim Centre
Friday, June 1 until Friday, August 31 (re-open Saturday, September 1) - Memorial Swim Centre to remain open during this period
Bluewater Lagoon
> Closure of the upper lagoon for 3 months – mid April to mid July.
> Closure of the waterslide during autumn/winter (March 1 to August 31) total of six months except during school holidays.
> Total facility closure due to annual maintenance: Wednesday, July 11 until August 31 (re-open Saturday, September 1).
