Ministers Award

In August 2007, Federal Minister for vocational and Further Education, Andrew Robb, announced the winners of the 2007 Minister's Awards for Excellence for Employers of Australiqan Apprentices.  Mackay City Council took out the Central Queensland Category for its solid completion rate and site specific program for apprentices.

Traineeships and apprenticeships are a major form of entry-level employment and training for new job seekers within Australia.
