Mackay libraries are committed to principles of lifelong learning. We have many resources to support literacy, numeracy and language learning. You can also access resources for speakers of languages other than English and for people with a hearing impairment.
Languages & Literacy (LAL) collection
Languages and Literacy resources can be found at all six library branches. Search the online catalogue to check LAL holdings at your local branch.

Languages Other Than English (LOTE) collection
Books in over 50 languages are available through the libraries. If there are no books in your language on the shelves, consult a staff member who will check the State Library of Queensland regarding the availability of books in that language. This is a free service. Alternatively, you can complete the form to request books in a specific language.
