Exam Invigilation

Exam invigilation is provided by the library service via the assistance and cooperation of the Friends of Mackay Libraries Inc. It is provided on the request of distance students who are unable to take their exams at their institution or affiliated institution.

Mackay Regional Council Libraries cannot guarantee that an invigilator will be available on the dates requested, but will endeavour to assist where possible. Adequate notice is to be given to the library of the preferred date(s) so that there is sufficient time to receive the examination papers.

Exams can be undertaken in the Group Study Room at Gordon White Library, but can also be taken in the body of the library if the Study Room is not available. The library cannot guarantee silence or ideal examination conditions if the exam is undertaken in the library.

A $20 donation for each examination invigilation is payable to the Friends of Mackay Libraries Inc. to recompense the invigilator for their time. All costs of printing examination papers and/or supervisory notes must be paid by the customer. All postage costs must be paid by the customer.
