Public Computer Access
Public Computers
Members of the library have access to public computer facilities equipped with Internet access, Microsoft Office Suite and an extensive range of other programs and utilities. Members are entitled to 90 minutes of computer use, either at a PC or using wireless.
- Members are entitled to 90 minutes of free PC use per day. Additional time may be purchased at $3.00 per 30 minutes thereafter.
- All users are entitled to one (1) 15 minute session per day on the express computers (included in the 90 minute allowance for members)
- A charge of $3.00 per 30 minutes is payable by temporary and reciprocal members and visitors.
- Printing is available.
Bookings must be made in person. Phone bookings are not available. Members must present their library membership card when booking computer sessions.

Wireless internet
Libraries offer wireless Internet access at Mackay City Library, Gordon White Library and Sarina Library during library opening hours for library customers with laptops or mobile devices. Please ask at the library counter for a username and password to access the wireless network.
Members can access the wireless Internet service for FREE for up to 90 minutes per day. Members must present their library membership card.
Please note there is a total of 90 minutes free access to the Internet regardless of whether the connection is wireless or wired.
Wireless charges apply for non-members as follows:
- 1 hour - $2.00
- 90 mins - $3.00
- 3 hours - $5.00
The service must be used within 24 hours of purchasing the time block.
