Knowledge Navigators
Mackay Regional Council Libraries have many services that can assist students with their homework, assignments and study. Library staff can conduct information sessions for local school students on these services.
Session content
Sessions can be purely informational OR hands-on instruction in a computer lab. The library can tailor a Knowledge Navigators session to suit. Some topics that can be covered are:
>Using online resources available through Mackay Libraries
>Demonstration of Your Tutor online tutoring service
>Internet searching techniques
>References and bibliographies
>General information seeking skills tailored to a specific topic or homework assignment

Teachers from both primary and high schools in the Mackay area are invited to contact the library if they would like a Knowledge Navigators session presented at their school.
