Accessibility

Mackay Regional Council has undertaken the Access Friendly Mackay project.  The aim of the project is to provide accurate, detailed information on the accessibility features of accommodation, dining and conference facilities and tourist attractions in the Mackay area.  The criteria used to gather this information has been developed by people with a disability.  It is anticipated that the information supplied will assist people to determine for themselves if the facilities/attractions provide for their individual access requirements. 

This is not a complete and exhaustive list of all facilities in the Mackay area.  As the project progresses accessibility information on other facilities and attractions will be added.  Please contact facilities and attractions directly for further information as required.
