Filling or excavating land

Filling or excavating land to alter the natural surface levels by more than 0.2 metres requires approval from council along with an Operational Works Application. Such works should not disturb the existing stormwater drainage patterns in an area.

In most cases, filling work is associated with a Building Work Application and should be clearly indicated on a Building Development Application.
