Sarina Public Transport Scheme
Mackay Regional Council through funding from the Blueprint for the Bush initiative has introduced a two-year trial to provide public transport to Sarina’s beachside communities.
This service does not pick up passengers in Sarina for travel to Mackay or those wishing to travel from Mackay to Sarina township.
Beach commuters can be dropped off in Sarina to conduct their business or travel through to Mackay.
The low fares and twice-weekly service on Monday and Thursday provides improved access to Mackay and council facilities.
Sarina company Bus Fox will provide the service and will utilise buses for ready access use for people with disabilities.
Remember to use it or lose it! This is only a trial and continued funding could be dependent on patronage.
