• Inside the home: 205 litres
• Outside the home: 205 litres
• Industrial/commercial: 125 litres
• Community use, leaks: 100 litres
• Total per person per day: 635 litres

Working out your daily water usage

• Record the numbers from your water meter.
• At the same time one week later, record your water meter reading.
• Subtract the first reading from the second reading.
• Divide this number by 7 to calculate your daily household usage.
• Divide this number by the number of people in your household. 
• Now you have your daily water usage.
