Seaforth Esplanade Splash Pad temporarily closed for maintenance works

The Seaforth Esplanade Splash Pad will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday, August 24 to Friday, September 18, 2026, while essential maintenance works are undertaken.

The works will include the resealing of the splash pad surface and expansion joints, replacing access pit lids, rust treating the shade structure and removing debris from around the water tanks.

Bring your child for a Symphony of Stories at Picnic in the Gardens

MACKAY Regional Botanic Gardens will hum to a Symphony of Stories next Thursday (August 27) when you and your child are invited to join in the Children’s Book Week celebrations. Dress as your favourite storybook character and come along for an adventure – who knows what you’ll see.

Community invited to discover Northern Beaches Community Hub vision

Residents are invited to learn more about the Northern Beaches Community Hub and view the latest designs for the much-anticipated facility at a community presentation later this month.

The presentation will be held at Club Northern Beaches Mackay on Monday, August 31, from 6pm and will provide an overview of the project, including the unveiling of updated architectural illustrations.
