Fifth Lane is located in the heart of the City Centre and is an incredible collection of colourful murals, paste-ups, digital art, and community art, forming a 24/7 outdoor art gallery. What was once a tired and undesirable laneway, is now highly awarded, being recognised on a state and national scale. Fifth Lane was crowned Australia’s Best Street Art Laneway in 2021 at the Australian Street Art Awards, and further took home the 'Great Place Award' at the 2022, awards for Planning Excellence for the Queensland Planning Institute of Australia.

The Fifth Lane Street art transformation was completed in 2019 by 16 dedicated and talented local artists and five amazing visiting artists from across Queensland and Australia. In 2021, the Laneway was further revitalised with the installation of a new concrete pavement and festoon lighting
